Apply for a credit account so you can order online and pay by invoice up to 30 days later.

All public sector companies can get instant credit accounts and there is no minimum spend. Credit accounts are also available for selected private businesses upon application.

How to pay by credit - public sector

Register

1 If you're not registered on the website, create an account, then email us to tell us to activate your credit facility or call 0161 431 1020.

2 If you have an existing website account, email us from the associated address and tell us you'd like to activate your credit facility.

3 We'll contact you to tell you when your credit facility has been activated, after which you'll be able to order online and pay via invoice.

4 Login to your account on the website and add your items to the basket. At the checkout select the Credit account payment option.

5 Enter a PO number so your accounts department can link our invoice to your purchase. You can enter any reference here.

6 Place your order online. You won't need a card. We'll send you an invoice that you'll need to pay within 30 days.

How to pay by credit - private sector

1 Fill in our credit application form and return it to us, ensuring you tell us the email address associated with you website account.

3 If you're not registered on the website, create an account, then add the email address to your application form.

4 You'll need to have placed one order via a credit or debit card before we can activate your credit facility to allow us to perform the required credit checks.

5 After approval, login to your account and add your items to the basket. Select the Credit account payment option at the checkout.

Credit account FAQs

Who can apply for credit?

Our credit accounts are available instantly for all public sector organisations and by application for private sector businesses.

How much do I need to spend to qualify?

If you are a public sector body, there is no minimum monthly spend for you to open a credit account. You only need to ask us to activate your credit facility.

If you are a private business you will need to spend a minimum of £500 per month and you will need to apply for a credit facility.

Meeting this minimum spend is the only way to ensure your account stays open. If the minimum is not met, your credit facility will be closed and you will need to pay before delivery.

Can I use my credit account online?

Yes. To use your credit online, simply log into your account using the email address registered to your credit account. Add the products you wish to purchase to your basket and proceed to the checkout.

At the checkout, select the credit account payment option and enter a PO number to allow your accounts department to associate our invoice with your order.

After your order has been despatched we will send you an invoice by email which your accounts department will need to pay within 30 days.

Can I get instant credit?

Yes, instant credit is available to the public sector, meaning public sector bodies can use credit on their first order by following the simple steps above.

If you are a private business, you will need to complete our credit application form and email it to us at accounts@ukpos.com before we can sign off your credit account. This means private sector companies cannot pay by invoice on their first order.

When do I have to pay my invoice?

You'll receive an invoice the day after your order is despatched, which must be paid within 30 days of the invoice date.

What happens once I complete the credit application form?

Your completed form will be sent to our accounts department who will determine your company's eligibility against our credit criteria.

Once your application has been processed, we'll let you know your credit facility is ready to use.

Do I get trade prices by using a credit account?

As we only sell to businesses, the prices we advertise online are already our trade prices. Larger discounts are available, however, for bulk orders when the quantity required exceeds the maximum covered online.
